How to create a website: You can easily create your own website with WordPress in just three steps by following these steps – 1) Domain Name, 2) Hosting and 3) Install WordPress.

What is a Domain Name?

“Domain is the name of your website.” Like my domain name is digitalmarketingteach.com, Google’s domain name is google.com, Facebook’s domain name is facebook.com etc. It is also called web address. The system through which your domain name operates is called the Domain Name System, Which is called DNS in short. It stores all the information associated with your domain such as IP address and other related information on name server.

On the Internet, your website or computer are identified by IP address. The full form of IP address is Internet Protocol Address. An IP address is required because the system does not recognize your website and your device by their name. Initially there used to be an IP address instead of a domain name. But there was a problem with remembering the IP address, so the domain name was used so that any website could be remembered easily.

But the IP address is still in use. Every website, every device connected to the Internet has an IP address. When you type the name of any website in your web browser, DNS converts it into an IP address and sends information to the name server, instruct the name server to show all the information related to that website to the user.

Together they make a unique name. If you have registered a domain with a name, no one in the whole world can register another domain with that name but you can register the same domain name by changing the extension. There are also many types of extensions.

For Example: .com, .org, .net, .gov, .edu etc.

Regional Domain –

For Example: .in, .uk, .us, .fr, .hk etc.

Exact Match Domain –

For Example: .jobs, .academy, .army etc.

Without a domain name, your website will not be visible to people, you cannot create a website without a domain. So to build a website you will definitely need a domain name. A domain name costs around 10 to 15 dollars per year.

Be sure to keep a few things in mind before buying a domain name. The domain name should be easy to remember and keep it as short as possible. Domain names must be unique so that more people are attracted.

What is Web Hosting?

“Hosting is a type of data storage service that runs 24 hours and stores all the information of our website and shows them our information when a user reaches our website.” It is impossible to run a website without hosting.

Visitors should have access to all the information related to our website, for this we have to store all the information on the server but we cannot build the required server because there is a lot of problem in building this type of server. There are many companies available whose data centres are running, those companies have set up their own servers that have all these facilities. We can pay them some amount and take space in their servers. In which we can store our data and show the visitor all the information related to our website.

There are many types of hosting but some of the main types are – share hosting, VPS hosting and dedicated hosting. Initially, you can use share hosting as it is slightly cheaper. A hosting costs around 5 to 10 dollars per month.

There are many hosting providers from which you can buy web hosting. Some of these are best service providers – GoDaddy, BigRock, Bluehost, DigitalOcean etc.

What is WordPress and How to install it?

“WordPress is an open source content management system written in PHP, which allows users to create websites and blogs.”

More than 50% of the websites on the Internet are built on WordPress. WordPress is the most popular way of creating websites all over the world and it is available for free.

Initially, WordPress was only used to create blogs but after that, website creation became easy due to plugins and themes. Those who do not know coding, they can also easily create a professional website with the help of WordPress in a very short time. Due to which WordPress became popular and today more than 50% of websites in the world remain on WordPress.

You must have a domain and hosting before installing WordPress.  Sign up in your hosting provider’s website, go to cPanel, choose a domain and install WordPress.
